Oftentimes when people see a university has a high crime rate, it can turn off potential students and their parents away from visiting or making the campus their home. After all, a college campus and its surrounding neighborhoods will be the student’s home for the next four years.
While it can be nice to see a college campus with no reported crimes or incidents, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s safe, it could be a sign of lax reporting. Higher incidents of crime could mean the school is stricter about law enforcement and reporting.

Chicago Cubs attendance from 1996–2020 by year. Attendance for Cubs have always been up and down but have always stayed within the 2–3 million range.
In 1996 to 1997 the Chicago Cubs had the lowest attendance rate after returning home to Wrigley Field after losing six straight games in Miami and Atlanta, not many people were rooting for them to win which explains the low attendance rate. Wrigley Field however saw a spike in attendance in 1998 as that was the season Sammy Sosa hit 66 home runs.
Since 1985 the attendance of the annual Pride Parade has increased over the years with an estimated 1,000,000 in January of 2014.
Chicago’s first pride parade started on June 28 1970, a year after the Stonewall riots. The LGBT activists in Chicago had marched to remember the anniversary of the New York uprising and to show that they were not afraid to take a stand.
